I've been making art since I was a kid, drawing, painting, and collaging. I have always enjoyed the process. I would say that life experience has inspired a lot of my personal work. With roller skate art, I create what I would want to wear, or see, or use, and hope others like it too.

I don't think I've ever lived life where art wasn't a part of it. Art was the only thing I had growing up. I was always told I couldn't make art for a living but now I do and its cool!
I leave that up to the viewer!
Daido Moriyama, Andres Serrano, Graciela Iturbide, Atiba Jefferson, Jim Madison, Martin Crudo
Since I started skating I have stepped away from my film photography/horror work and started creating more work relating to the scene, with zines and artwork. I would like to find a balance where I can do both :)

What type of art do you make? What mediums do you use?
paintings, prints, and oil pastel works that is focused on the feminine experience and the natural world, bordering on expressionism and surrealism
I’m inspired by nature, my own experience and the experiences of others as a female, dream-like states, and spirituality
As a child, I would create art to express myself. As I got older, that developed into also trying to depict what I thought was beautiful or harsh about the world.
I would like viewers to remain open minded and take from my art what resonates with them.
One of my favorite artists is John William Waterhouse. Although, I also love @pollynor, @squidvishuss, and @valfre on instagram.
How has, if at all, skating effected your art?
Although skating isn’t a major influence on my art, I can connect the two on the concepts of freedom and expression. When I think about skating, I view it as a way to experience the freedom of being on wheels, expressing oneself in a physical way, and a way to feel connected to others. With art, it is a tool for communicating and expressing oneself freely through a creative means.

I mainly use bones and taxidermied mice in my art. I also use poison hemlock flowers and real spiderwebs in my necklaces.
I want there to be beauty in death. I love seeing the whole process from recently deceased critter to something beautiful you could put on your wall.
I started making art because when my fiance and I moved in together he said I had too many bones. So instead of throwing them away I started to make art with them.
Are there any artists that inspire you?
Too many to list but here’s a few! The skeletorium, Jodi Yeung, Little Spooky studio
How has, if at all, skating effected your art?
It hasn’t, although I do skate in my free time

I’ve been sewing a lot but I like to work with different things and have a broad spectrum like painting and making jewelry.
I always loved to draw and color as a kid so being able to get creative always taps into the nostalgia of being younger.
I started painting in 2016 and picked up sewing around the end of 2020
Never limit yourself. I aim to make all sorts of different things and using different mediums or even trying to use different mediums together. I want to try to become a jack of all trades when it comes to art and creativity, because why not?!
Are there any artists that inspire you? N/A
How has, if at all, skating effected your art? Skating has most definitely affected my art. once i started skating in july 2021, i started to look at everything i made and thought “how can i incorporate with skates? What can i do to help skating be more accessible or maybe even fashionable?”

What type of art do you make? What mediums do you use?
I make paintings and hand-made sculptures with air dry clay and acrylic paint.
Everything around me inspires me to make art. Nature, food, places, people, music, fashion, roller skating, astrology, and spirituality. Growing up in Las Vegas with all the bold bright colors and lights has been incredibly inspiring as well.
I started making art in high school when I took an art class/sculpting class for the first time ever, and found out I was pretty decent at painting and I really enjoyed doing it, so I just kept going with it.
I hope my viewers see freedom and possibilities when they see my art. Art is so liberating. I want people to feel they can also liberate themselves and be proud of who they are, and make out-of-this-world art in any medium they prefer.
The biggest inspiration I had growing up was Frida Kahlo. She was the only Mexican woman who was a painter, and people looked up to her and her artwork. She paints her pain and trauma and that’s the most vulnerable, but beautiful things a person can do. Her paintings will be the only memory of her hardships, and it made her into who she ended up today, known all across the globe.
How has, if at all, skating effected your art?
Roller skating has effected my art in numerous ways. It feels nice when I’m able to put my skates on, clear my head, then come back to an art piece with a different perspective. Being able to accomplish tricks while I roller skate gives me the same feeling of when I’m able to power through my creative blocks and make a beautiful art piece. Both hobbies motivate me to keep going.

What type of art do you make? What mediums do you use?
I am an interdisciplinary artist who uses research and text for the basis of my existential work, which ranges from large acrylic paintings to small ink on paper to mixed mediums including video and installation.
Inspiration comes from getting fixated and doing research on subjects like physiology, quantum physics and over-analyzation of everyday experiences. I like to explore unknowns and find a conclusion of sorts - a calm within chaos.
I come from a creative family and was always provided materials to draw or craft with. My spark of creativity was definitely nurtured. One of my first memories in pre-school was looking at a drawing I made that was turned into a dinner plate. I remember the amount of satisfaction I felt thinking, "I made this." At this point in my 40s, making art, learning, exploring topics and being creative in general is a necessity.
I like to make work with levels of depth. The more time a viewer spends with a piece, the deeper they can potentially go into the concept presented.
Yes most definitely. I'd say some of my favorite artists are Tracey Emin, Laurie Anderson, Sean Landers' text based work, Ralph Steadman, and collaborator John Airo.
How has, if at all, skating effected your art?
Playing roller derby for a long time definitely affected the physicality in my art practice. It created a desire to go large and make big explosive gestures. It also affected the way that I think about and how much research I did on breath and breathing (which I used for my Masters thesis) and what it means to be in a certain durational state of consciousness or "zone."
